A welterweight battle has been added to UFC 125 as Greg Soto will take on Daniel Roberts, presumably on the undercard of the event.
UFC 125 is scheduled to take place on January 1, 2011 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV; Roberts confirmed the bout on his Twitter account Monday.
Soto is looking to build on his most recent victory, one over Nick Osipczak at UFC 118; prior to that fight, he was disqualified when he took out Matthew Riddle with an illegal upkick at UFC 111.
Meanwhile, Roberts is looking for his third consecutive win in the UFC. Roberts’ most recent action includes a split-decision win over Forrest Petz at UFC 116 and a submission victory over Mike Guymon at UFC 121.
With the tentative decsion to add Roberts and Soto to the fight card, UFC 125 looks like this:
