Akiyo Nishiura wanted to end a 1-3 skid that he was enduring prior to his fight with Hideo Tokoro at DREAM.14, which took place back in May.
Figuring he had nothing to lose, he went into this bout with a “Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead” mindset. As a matter of fact, Nishiura kept his arms down and his face unprotected – something that the vast majority of MMA combatants do not utilize.
