Hard-hitting British welterweight and former UFC contender Paul Daley is in talks with Strikeforce and could sign with the promotion as early as this week. Daley (24-9-2) earned back-to-back wins over Martin Kampmann and Dustin Hazelett to get into the UFC title hunt, but dropped a unanimous decision to Josh Koscheck at May’s UFC 113 and was promptly released by the promotion following a post-fight sucker punch.
He bounced back in June with a third-round submission of Daniel Acacio in Australia in his first post-UFC bout.
