UFC president Dana White spoke to Marcos of Fight Hub TV about the UFC Gym grand opening in Rosemead, CA, Cro-cop’s eye injury and Latino Fighters in the UFC.
A pair of title fights will headline World Extreme Cagefighting’s Arizona debut, as lightweight champ Ben Henderson will take on Anthony Pettis and bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz will face Scott Jorgensen at WEC 53 on Dec. 16 at Phoenix’s Jobbing.com Arena, the WEC announced on Monday.
Henderson (12-1) defended his title with a first-round submission of Donald Cerrone at April’s WEC 48, while Pettis (11-1) has won three-straight, including a third-round sub of Shane Roller in August.
Cruz (16-1) scored a split decision over Jospeh Benavidez at WEC 50 last month after winning the title from Brian Bowles in March, while Jorgensen (11-3) topped Brad Pickett in August for his fifth-straight win.
