Prior to using Nutiva – organic extra virgin coconut oil, I was using a Trader Joes’ brand of canola oil. I am very sensitive in avoiding GMO products. I don’t want scientists screwing up food that they later find out gives humans diseases. That is why I focus now strictly on eating organic foods only.
This new Nutiva – organic extra virgin coconut oil product I started using smells great. I love coconut so I knew I would like this before I received it. Now that I have it, I have started using it on my popcorn that I personally pop in a Whirley-Pop Stovetop Popcorn Popper that I have had for about 2 years now. I also buy in bulk Eden Organic Yellow Popcorn too. This lasts for a few months for my wife and me. Some people may think this is expensive but it actually cheaper than eating popcorn at a theater or eating unhealthy potato chips.
If you shop at whole foods, then you know going all organic can get pricey. However, if you shop smart like buying in bulk at amazon, you can save a lot of money and come out ahead. I even buy my vegan raw larabars in bulk there too.
Back to the Nutiva – organic extra virgin coconut oil product that I purchased for cheap. It has a high number of 5 star reviews on how great it is. Right now it is about 310 reviewers singing its praises and the average rating looks like it is actually 5 out of 5 stars. That is pretty consistent quality.
