A featherweight title fight between incoming champion Jose Aldo and challenger Josh Grispi is in the works for UFC 125 on January 1 in Las Vegas, according to Versus.
Previously the World Extreme Cagefighting title-holder, Aldo was crowned the UFC featherweight champion on Thursday when it was announced that the WEC would be merging with the UFC.
Aldo (18-1) scored a second-round KO of Manny Gamburyan last month for his 11th-straight win, while Grispi, who was set to face Erik Koch next month at WEC 52, scored a first-round submission of LC Davis in June to improve to 4-0 in the WEC.
