Brock Lesnar Tops UFC 121 Fighter Salaries, Medical Suspensions
Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar topped the payroll for Saturday's UFC 121, taking home $400,000 despite losing the title to Cain Velasquez, who earned $200,000. Lesnar also topped the UFC 121 medial suspensions, joining Shields and Diego Sanchez among those suspended up to six months.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar topped the $1.513 million payroll for Saturday’s UFC 121, taking home $400,000 despite losing the title to Cain Velasquez, who earned $200,000 for his main event win.

Other top earners included former champion Tito Ortiz ($250,000), who fell to Matt Hamill ($58,000) to remain winless since 2006, and welterweight contender Jake Shields ($150,000) for his debut win over Martin Kampmann ($27,000).

Lesnar also topped the UFC 121 medical suspensions, joining Shields and Diego Sanchez among those suspended up to six months.

The official UFC 121 salaries were:

  • Cain Velasquez: $200,000 (includes $100,000 win bonus) def. Brock Lesnar: $400,000
  • Jake Shields: $150,000 ($75,000 win bonus) def. Martin Kampmann: $27,000
  • Diego Sanchez: $100,000 ($50,000 win bonus) def. Paulo Thiago: $18,000
  • Matt Hamill: $58,000 ($29,000 win bonus) def. Tito Ortiz: $250,000
  • Brendan Schaub: $20,000 ($10,000 win bonus) def. Gabriel Gonzaga: $67,000
  • Court McGee: $30,000 ($15,000 win bonus) def. Ryan Jensen: $10,000
  • Tom Lawlor: $20,000 ($10,000 win bonus) def. Patrick Cote: $21,000
  • Daniel Roberts: $16,000 ($8,000 win bonus) def. Mike Guymon: $8,000
  • Sam Stout: $32,000 ($16,000 win bonus) def. Paul Taylor: $16,000
  • Chris Camozzi: $16,000 ($8,000 win bonus) def. Dongi Yang: $8,000

The UFC 121 medical suspensions were:

  • Brock Lesnar: Suspended 180 days unless cleared by ophthalmologist for possible eye injury. Minimum 60 day suspension for left cheek laceration
  • Jake Shields: Suspended 180 days unless cleared by ophthalmologist for bleeding in eye and blurred vision
  • Diego Sanchez: Suspended 180 days unless cleared by doctor for possible right wrist fracture
  • Paulo Thiago: Suspended 60 days unless cleared by doctor for laceration
  • Tito Ortiz: Suspended 45 days
  • Brendan Schaub: Suspended 45 days
  • Gabriel Gonzaga: Suspended 45 days
  • Court McGee: Suspended 180 unless cleared by doctor for right hand fracture. Minimum 45 day suspension
  • Ryan Jensen: Suspended 45 days
  • Patrick Cote: Suspended 180 days unless cleared by ophthalmologist for possible eye injury
  • Chris Camozzi: Suspended 60 days for left-brow laceration
  • Dongi Yang: Suspended 45 days
  • Gilbert Yvel: Suspended 45 days
