Heavyweight prospect Shane Del Rosario kept his perfect record intact in the main event of Friday’s Strikeforce Challengers 9, scoring a first-round knockout of Lolohea Mahe at the Showtime-televised event in Everett, Washington.

“I knew he didn’t like shots to the body, so I kept hitting the body until he dropped. I’ve been training really hard and it’s finally paying off. I’m ready to step up the opposition and move on,” said Del Rosario, now 10-0, who hopes to fight former UFC champ Andrei Arlovski next.

In the night’s co-headliner, 135-pound women’s champ Sarah Kaufman also remained unbeaten, retaining the title with a third-round slam KO of Roxanne Modafferi.

“I got a knockout,” Kaufman, now 12-0, said. “It feels good to get the KO and to impress. She was really good at the take downs, but I could feel her getting tired. The opportunity was there with the body slam and I took advantage of it.”

In other main card action, Bobby Voelker topped Cory Devela by split decision, Mike Kyle submitted Abongo Humphrey with a second-round rear naked choke, and Caros Fodor earned a unanimous decision over Thomas Diagne.
