As expected, World Extreme Cagefighting has officially announced that WEC 51 will take place on September 30 at the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colorado and will be headlined by featherweight champion Jose Aldo vs. Manny Gamburyan. Also confirmed for the Versus-televised event were Jamie Varner vs. Donald Cerrone, Miguel Torres vs. Charlie Valencia, Leonard Garcia vs. Mark Hominick, and Chan Sung Jung vs. George Roop.
The Versus-televised event is co-headlined by the anticipated rematch between former lightweight champ Jamie Varner and Donald Cerrone, while the WEC 51 fight card also officially features Miguel Torres vs. Charlie Valencia, Leonard Garcia vs. Mark Hominick, and Chan Sung Jung vs. George Roop.
