It’s been 9 days since my wife and I decided to stop eating meats. And as soon as we finish the milk and dairy products in our refrigerator we will use substitutes for those items. So I feel incredible right now. I have lost inches around my waste and my clothes are noticeably loose. I also have more energy to exercise now.
I have started reading a new book called “The China Study: The Most Comprehensive Study of Nutrition Ever Conducted And the Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss, And Long-term Health” and it is awesome. I feel like after watching the documentaries “Diet for a New America“, “Food, Inc.” and “EARTHLINGS” this book fits into the next step in the quest for knowledge. I am up to chapter 3 right now and the stuff I have read so far is extremely insightful. Some of the things I knew from previous readings are now factual because of this study. What I mean by that is the ideas before made sense to me but were based on theory, and now that this person has released his findings it is scientifically proven.
As far as health and nutrition, I see the big picture and everything is connected. I will continue knowing I am saving animals from further torture and living horrible lives. By stopping the future purchase of animal meats and animal products, I know my money will no longer support the industries that bring the suffering to these animals.
