Rising middleweight Gerald Harris had agreed to replace injured Jorge Rivera and will face Alessio Sakara on the Spike-televised preliminary card at “UFC 118: Edgar vs. Penn 2″ on August 28 in Boston, according to MMAjunkie.
Harris (17-2) was eliminated from The Ultimate Fighter 7 in 2008 by eventual winner Amir Sadollah, but has scored three-straight knockouts of John Salter, Mario Miranda, and Dave Branch in 2010 to push his win streak to 10-straight. Harris’ first-round slam KO of Branch at UFC 116 earlier this month earned “Hurricane” his second “Knockout of the Night” bonus and a spot on ESPN’s SportsCenter.
Following a 3-4 start to his UFC career, the former light heavyweight Sakara (15-7) has won three-straight over Joe Vedepo, Leites, and most-recently James Irvin at UFC on Versus 1 in March.
