Cain Velasquez, Diego Sanchez, Paulo Thiago, and Daniel Roberts each earned $70,000 fight night bonuses for their performances at Saturday’s “UFC 121: Lesnar vs. Velasquez” event.
The newly-crowned heavyweight champion Velasquez earned some extra cash for his UFC 121 win over Brock Lesnar, scoring the “Knockout of the Night” bonus for his first-round TKO of the former champ in the UFC 121 main event.
UFC 121 bonuses also went to Diego Sanchez and Paulo Thiago for their back-and-forth “Fight of the Night” on the UFC 121 pay-per-view main card, while Daniel Roberts scored “Submission of the Night” with a 73-second anaconda choke of Mike Guymon on the UFC 121 prelims.
