After successfully making his featherweight debut this past Saturday at UFC 131, Kenny Florian earned a title shot at 145-pound champion Jose Aldo and the UFC is targeting the matchup for October. The UFC's October schedule includes UFC 136 on Oct. 8 in Houston, Texas and UFC 137 with Georges St-Pierre vs. Nick Diaz on Oct. 27 in Las Vegas.

“I think it’ll be a tough fight. I don’t doubt that,” Aldo recently said on Brazilian TV (via ESPN). “Florian’s name and reputation in the U.S. will make this fight marketable, so I think he’ll be my next opponent, probably in October.”
