Bellator Fighting Championships has announced another participant for its upcoming fourth season, as undefeated Lloyd Woodard has signed with the promotion to compete in its season four lightweight tournament airing on MTV2.
Sherdog confirmed Woodard’s participation on Wednesday morning.
Woodard’s professional debut occurred in 2008 but since then he has competed at a ferocious pace. Woodard competed six times in 2009 and three times in 2010. He brings a perfect 10-0 record to Bellator’s lightweight division.
Woodard remains only the second confirmed fighter for the lightweight tournament along with Patricky “Pitbull” Freire. However, several more participants have been rumored for the lightweight tournament including former WEC lightweight champion “Razor” Rob McCullough, Toby Imada, Marcin Held, Ferrid Kheder, Michael Chandler, and Carey Vanier.
Bellator’s fourth season is expected to begin on March 5 and will air live on MTV2. That event, expected to feature a welterweight bout between Jay Hieron vs Steve Carl, will go head-to-head with a Strikeforce: Columbus.
