Belfort recently announced the illness on Twitter, but said he’d be back in the gym in two weeks to prepare for the August 6 event in Philadelphia.

Belfort (19-9) earned a title shot with a win over Rich Franklin in his return to the UFC in 2009, but was sidelined for more than a year before being knocked out by middleweight champ Anderson Silva in the opening round at UFC 126 in February.
