One of the reasons why these newer android phones are selling out is due to the new operating system. People are rooting their phones so they can have extra functionality on them. One of the big features most people want is the the wireless tethering or creating a hot spot. That is why I like my LG Optimus V android cell phone big time.

What I have come to realize and I may be wrong is that the newer android operating system 2.2 gives you this ability to tether wireless or create a hotspot. That function is not a hardware issue but a software upgrade. That is what I understand from the official froyo video.
