UFC 116 Salaries: Lesnar Makes Flat $400K, Carwin Can Earn $80K

UFC 116 Salaries: Lesnar Makes Flat $400K, Carwin Can Earn $80K
UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will make $400,000 for his UFC 116 headliner against interim title-holder Shane Carwin, who can earn $80,000 with a win in the main event. The Nevada State Athletic Commission released the salaries, along with those of co-headliners Chris Leben and Yoshihiro Akiyama, while UFC President Dana White has announced UFC 116 as an official sell out.

UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will make $400,000 for his UFC 116 headliner against interim title-holder Shane Carwin, who can earn $80,000 with a win in the main event, according to figures released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Lesnar also receives a cut of UFC 116′s pay-per-view buys, while Carwin does not.

UFC President Dana White has announced that UFC 116 has officially sold out the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and is expected to top 1 million pay-per-view buys.
