Middleweights Patrick Cote and Tom Lawler are expected to meet at "UFC 121: Lesnar vs. Lesaquez" on October 23 in Anaheim, California. The UFC 121 fight card is headlined by heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez and also features Jake Shields vs. Martin Kampmann.
Following five-straight wins, Cote (13-6) challenged middleweight champ Anderson Silva in October 2008, but suffered a fight-ending knee injury that sidelined him for more than 18-months, finally returning in May with a second-round submission loss to Alan Belcher.
A castmember on The Ultimate Fighter 8, Lawlor (6-3) began his UFC career with back-to-back wins over Kyle Kingsbury and CB Dollaway, but has since suffered losses to Aaron Simpson last July and Joe Doerksen in May.
