It was a very hot day today but I had to step out. My mom is in town for a visit, so I drove to the Mandalay Bay casino to pick her up. We went to lunch together across town and had some authentic Filipino food. Unfortunately, I don’t know the names of most of the foods we ordered and I didn’t take any pictures. I have eaten there before and the food is always good.
After that, I drove her back to the Venetian Hotel where she is staying at. I got lost looking for her room and we both did a lot of walking. It was confusing because there are multiple hotel towers and the Palazzo is connected. I asked 3 employees for directions and each one gave us a different answer. Needless to say, we took a break and my mother gambled on the slots for 10 minutes. She really is lucky at this stuff. She spent $20 and in a short time on one jackpot machine, she left with $100 and gave me half of the winnings. Nice!
From that point, we followed the signs to the different towers and found the right one. She was happy we got together and I am always happy to see her. After I left her, I was afraid I would get lost looking for the self parking lot. Fortunately, I asked a girl at the pastry stand and her directions were right on.
Walking back to the parking lot meant getting back into the heat. It was about 110 degrees outside with a warm breeze to make it worse. At least my car was parked in the shade which helped my air conditioner cool down the interior fast. When I got home, I was really tired from the heat outside.
