Strikeforce has dismissed rumors that it had signed former WWE wrestler Dave Batista, who told TMZ earlier today that he had signed with the promotion and was already booked for his MMA debut, though he declined to name an opponent.

Strikeforce has dismissed rumors that it had signed former WWE wrestler Dave Batista, who told TMZ earlier today that he had signed with the promotion and was already booked for his MMA debut, though he declined to name an opponent.

The 41-year-old Batista, who wrestled for WWE from 2002 until leaving the company in May, would be the latest professional wrestler to make the jump to mixed martial arts, following  UFC heavyweight Brock Lesnar and Strikeforce prospect Bobby Lashley.
