According to MMAFighting, a critical UFC welterweight contest between Dan Hardy and Anthony Johnson will go down in March.
The yet-to-be announced “UFC Fight Night 24” event on March 26th has emerged as the front-runner to host the scrap. However, there are also Octagon shows on March 3rd and March 19th.
Although Hardy owns a solid 23-8 (1 NC) record, the slugger has dropped two consecutive fights. The Brit followed up his lopsided loss to champion Georges St-Pierre at UFC 111 with a lights out knockout defeat to Carlos Condit at UFC 120.
While Hardy has remained active, Johnson hasn’t been seen since getting submitted by Josh Koscheck at UFC 106 in November 2009. “Rumble” was set to rumble with John Howard this past March, but the up-and-comer injured his knee in training and has been on the mend ever since.
“UFC Fight Night 24″ is expected to take place in Seattle, Washington and feature a light heavyweight battle between Tito Ortiz and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
