UFC 129 Post-Fight Press Conference Notes:

According to UFC president Dana White, 55,724 screaming Canadians packed the Rogers Centre on Saturday night, garnering the company a live gate of $12.1 million. Yes, you did read that correctly.

The record-breaking show marked the company’s debut in Toronto, and White said, “We’d be back tomorrow if we could.” #Duh

St-Pierre and Couture were sent to the hospital to be examined. Therefore, neither star attended the presser.

Machida gave Steven Seagal props for urging him to utilize the career-ending kick on Couture. “The Dragon” claimed Seagal helped him “perfect” the strike.

Aldo’s eye was fairly banged up at the presser. He said he knew he won the first four rounds and he was just hanging on in the final stanza.

Aldo is expected to defend his belt next against Chad Mendes at UFC 133 in Philly.

Although everything appears to have went smoothly, White is concerned the new pay-per-view start time (9PM ET/6PM PT, instead of 10PM ET/7PM PT) may influence their buy rates.

White reiterated that Strikeforce fighters must fulfill their current deals before the UFC would pursue them.
