So far I have not purchased any apps for my android optimus v cell phone.  Everything I have downloaded has been free from the android app store which is something I definitely like.  When I had my apple ipod touch,  it seemed most decent apps you had to buy and the free versions were lite apps or limited versions.
Now Amazon has announced one daily free (normally paid) app if you subscribe to their store with certain conditions.  I went ahead and signed up.  I purchased the angry birds rio ($.99) yesterday and pokerstars aka World Series Of Poker: Hold’em Legend ($4.99) today.  After the day ends, they go back to their retail price.   I don’t know if I would have downloaded them otherwise, but at least now I have the ability to try full versions for free and delete them if I don’t like them.
