Miller (24-7) submitted Japanese legend Kazushi Sakuraba for back-to-back wins since falling to champ Jake Shields in 2009, while Kennedy (12-3) came up short in his bid for the 185-pound title against Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza in August after four-straight wins.
Kennedy upset Miller in their first meeting in 2003, but “Mayhem” claimed a unanimous decision in the rematch in 2007.
