Nate “The Great” Marquardt has been in mixed martial arts for the past 12 years. He was cleared to train again six months after undergoing major facial reconstruction surgery following his loss to Jorge Rivera back in March.
The word out there at the moment – some of it coming from Marquardt himself – is that “The Great” is seriously considering retirement from MMA. Apparently, he has other projects that he is working on, so whether that holds true or not is speculation at this point.
Probably the best person to say whether this is true or not is Marquardt himself. In this interview with Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com, he discusses that and many other topics.
