Yes, I have decided to hold off on any new computer purchases till after the new year. And I may go on a bit longer. Computers are just toys for me. I know that the new faster and improved laptops will not bring that much more value to me.
What makes it tempting is that they are so cheap now. I watch the prices go down every month while the technology keeps improving. I think my ideal laptop with the hdmi can be had for about $350. As far at the tablets, as pretty as they look I don’t think they would really meet any of my computing needs. And I know as time passes and more tablets are released other than Apple, the prices will plummet into the $100+ range. The new samsung galaxy looks just as nice as the ipad.
Still, I will keep looking because the new technology keeps impressing me. As far as purchasing, it will be in the far future. I recently upgraded the RAM on this laptop to the max and I just swapped out my hard drive to a 500GB capacity. All for less than $100.
