Mayfield, CA first city to layoff everyone. Wow!
I saw this on ABC news and was surprised that it happened this dramatically. I wanted to embed the video but couldn’t find it on their site yet. Basically, the city of Maywood fired or laid off all the employees from policemen, firemen, and all the other departments.
The weird thing is I only found one place that published it on the internet. I thought this would be major news and reported by more than one place.
The city of Maywood will lay off all city employees and begin contracting police services with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department effective July 1, officials said.
