WEC general manager Reed Harris announced the signing and replacement Tuesday night on Versus’ The Daily Line after Ratcliff withdrew from the Versus-televised card with an undisclosed injury earlier today.
The Duke Roufus-trained Downes (6-0), who counts Pat Barry, Ben Rothwell, and Anthony Pettis among his teammates, has gone to decision just once, most-recently scoring his fourth career first-round TKO in April to improve to 6-0.
